Rebecca was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She attended the University of Tennessee- Chattanooga and graduated with a BS in Criminal Justice. She graduated from the Dwayne O. Andreas School of Law (Barry University School of Law) in 2020. Rebecca enjoys bankruptcy law because it affords the unfortunate debtor the opportunity to obtain a fresh start. She also enjoys helping others learn how to be financially responsible by giving them the resources to acquire healthy financial habits.

While in law school, Rebecca was afforded the opportunity to work in the law school’s Bankruptcy Clinic as well as other unique opportunities relating to Bankruptcy law. She was a research assistant for her bankruptcy professor, and during that time Rebecca helped her professor do extensive research for an amicus brief for the Supreme Court case Taggart v. Lorenzen. Rebecca also received the award for the highest grade in the Bankruptcy Clinic and Chapter 11 Business Reorganizations class.
Rebecca was initiated as a member of Gamma Phi Beta International Sorority in 2014. She has volunteered as the financial advisor for the Eta Kappa Chapter at UTC from 2017 to 2020 and currently volunteers as the financial advisor for the Eta Epsilon chapter at Virginia Tech. In working with Gamma Phi Beta as the financial advisor Rebecca is able to teach the young women how to run an organization while also being financially responsible. Through Gamma Phi Beta, Rebecca is able to support Girls on the Run of East Tennessee and Girls Inc. Rebecca is also a member and supporter of the Tennessee Hemophilia and Bleeding Disorder Foundation.
